I met with some first time home
buyers the other day and their biggest concern was how much would it cost if I
had to commute from this area. In my serach to find them an answer other than
“google it for distance,” I found a great tool that could help estimate their
costs as well as distance. It’s a commute calculator at
Cost2Drive.com.
The site asks users where they are going and what car they drive, and calculates how much it will cost to get there, how long it will take, and how big the carbon footprint of their trip will be. For longer trips, the site also allows users to compare the costs of flying vs. driving.
